Mission: To help people live happier and healthier lives
one new habit at a time
Prior to her career in wellbeing Bernadette worked for over 15 years in high profile partnership development and digital marketing roles. She now brings her life experience to her training and coaching sessions, allowing her to connect with the challenges her clients and participants are facing and working on practical solutions to create the conditions for positive change in people’s lives. This includes raising self-awareness, connecting with goals and values and implementing new habits that will lead to long-term health benefits and wellbeing.
Mindfulness and Meditation Experience
A mindfulness and meditation practitioner for over 25 years, Bernadette started her journey with sahaja yoga meditation and Buddhist meditation in the early 1990s, before transitioning to secular mindfulness and compassion practices. She benefited so greatly from the practice in her own life that she was driven to help others experience the same benefits for themselves. Bernadette can confidently share first hand the benefits of a regular practice as well as her experience from different mindfulness traditions – making her courses and trainings unique from other mindfulness trainers.
Bernadette has been teaching mindfulness since 2014 and has a mindfulness teacher training certificate from Mindfulness CIC in the UK as well as studying the highly renowned Bangor University MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) Level 2 teacher training.
Bernadette became interested in nutrition and an holistic approach to health in her early 30s, after experiencing adult acne for many years. Her own healing journey inspired her to train as a Nutritional Therapist. She studied a 3-year Nutritional Therapy diploma with the College of Naturopathic Medicine, graduating in 2013 and since then has been supporting clients on their own healing journey’s. She takes a naturopathic approach to nutrition – focusing on supporting the whole person rather than on treating symptoms. This holistic approach to health is all about supporting the body’s natural healing process.
Mindful Eating has been the cherry on top of Bernadette’s teaching journey. Combining mindfulness with food has been a revolutionary approach for helping clients and course participants develop a healthy and balanced relationship with food. Bernadette studied MB-EAT teacher training with the Mindful Eating Training Institute (METI) in the US – an evidence based training that has been developed over 30 years.
Bernadette currently sees individual clients for nutrition and mindful eating coaching as well as running regular mindfulness courses and workshops, both in-person in Den Haag and online. She also works with corporate clients developing and delivering wellness and resilience courses and in-person or online workshops.
Bernadette has studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher training with Bangor University and is a Qualified MB-EAT (Mindfulness Based Eating) Instructor. She is also a registered Nutritional Therapist and a member of the British Association for Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine (BANT).
