Mindful Eating brings the quality of mindful awareness to the what, when, why, how and how much we eat. This powerful practice can transform the way that we eat and allow us to stay connected with our long-term health goals, while honouring our needs moment by moment.
Diet culture, fad diets and mis-information from unqualified, self-proclaimed experts cloud the waters of what constitutes a healthy diet. Food rules, negative self-talk and distorted body image all contribute to a loss of trust in our own inner knowing of what is right for us to satisfy our needs. With Mindful Eating we focus on gentle outer knowledge of food – moving away from classifying foods as “good” and “bad”, food rules and restrictions to a healthier balanced relationship with food – where there is a place for both whole foods and “play foods”.
This workshop demystifies nutrition science, presenting the outer wisdom of food as Gentle Nutrition and encourages participants to heal their relationship with food with an ability to enjoy all foods in a balanced way.
