Functional Testing
What is Functional Laboratory Testing?
Functional laboratory testing is available when working with nutrition clients, to get deeper insights into imbalances in the body. The necessity for functional testing is decided on a case by case basis and in-line with a nutrition client’s budget.
Functional tests can help identify the causes and imbalances that are contributing to a client’s sub-optimal health and inform concrete actions to correct any imbalances. We work with highly reputable laboratories such as Genova Diagnostics, BioVIs and BioLab.
On this page you can find out more about the types of functional laboratory tests that we offer.

Tests include comprehensive stool analysis, SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), leaky gut and parasites. Testing may be via stool or breath tests.

Pyrrole Disorder (Pyroluria)
A simple urine test to assess levels of pyrroles in the urine. Raised levels of pyrroles can lead to nutrient deficiencies such as B6, Zinc, Magnesium and Manganese.
